ART HEALS, DO YOU BELIEVE?

I attended the reception for the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art last night, where one of my paintings, Edge of Eternity proudly hangs as part of the juried exhibition.

I noticed that the lack of air conditioning had almost no effect on the visitors that came to partake in the art. Some fanned themselves, others went and searched for a cool breeze, but overall most stayed to take in the powerful exilir of the art.

The human spirit prevails above all else, love of course being the most powerful virtue...came through last night up until the last guest left...it amazes me how art brings people together...for me just being amidst all the creative energy is very healing...I am at my happiest when I am creating art and in art...what else is there anyway but love and art?

RED ROCK LIGHT COLLECTION BY LILY NAVA, FUSIONARTIST

For those of you that have visited Sedona, an area known for its sacred vortexes, magnetic energy and its magical red dirt and red rocks...you will be truly delighted with this series.

I have spent time over the past 10 years visiting and at some point living near Sedona. Many of my original artwork was created and inspired from the moments and emotions I experienced in the red rocks. Once I experienced the "divine" I was never to be the same. Oftentimes while painting the red rocks seem to make there way onto my canvas. I envisioned a series that would show depict the aura, energy and light of the red rocks, rather than a photogrpahic reproduction...moreso, along the lines of the "essence" of the red rocks' magic!

The series is in progress and will be unveiled the first week in May 2009, at the White Square Gallery, Boca Park, Las Vegas, 740 S. Rampart, Las Vegas, NV 702-454-5858, sometime in near future. Go to my website at http://www.lilynavagallery.com/ for more information.
